Dr. Google - friend or foe?

About 70% of internet users search for health related topics online. This can be problematic because the mass of information is hard to manage. Especially for non-professionals it can be tricky to find reliable information that are relevant for their diseases. Dubious websites and misinformation can lead to wrong expectations in the patient. However, doctors shouldn't see the internet as a problem but as a chance. Because the right use of Google and Co. leads to informed patients that understand their doctors better and have a higher compliance.
