摘要
Two different methods are proposed to investigate the thermal expansivity as a function of temperature by considering the temperature dependence of the Anderson parameter. The validity of the methods is examined by computing the thermal expansion coefficient ranging from room temperature up to the melting temperatures for sixteen alkali halide crystals. The results are discussed in the light of recent research in high temperature physics. The simplicity of one method over the other is discussed.
