摘要
This article aims to discuss the diversity of sexualities and genders in the school environment. Through discussions of Social Sciences we showed some of the interpretations about the culture of genres throughout Western history and which can serve as allies in the deconstruction of stereotypes about masculinity and femininity. Based on the experience as a teacher of Primary Education in the year of 2011 and the institutionalized politic bound by books "Sexual Diversity in Education: problematizations on homophobia in schools", produced by the Ministry of Education, the guide "Gender and Diversity in Schools: training teachers in gender, sexuality, sexual orientation and ethnic-racial relations" prepared by the "Secretary of Policies for Women and Sexuality" of State Department of Education of Parana, discussions of gender and feminist theories were used as pedagogical ways to contribute to the formation of emancipatory education as well as in the development skills related to the subject of sexual diversity. Thus, was noted that the school can still reproduces the prejudice and stereotype of gender and sexuality, despite the many advances we have had in the course of the twentieth century in which concern public policies in defense of women's rights, also of lesbians, gay, bisexual, transgender and policies that seek to promote scholarly debate about sexual plurality.
