Systems of Management of Enterprises Information Resources: Prospects for Development

Current economic situation is largely determined by the development of information economy. One of the most important directions for the development of information systems is modernization of communication technologies that are designed to meet the increasing needs of business for information. The paper analyses the development problems of information support systems of industrial enterprises, suggests an evolution model of information management systems, recognizes and systematizes key problems that hamper the efficient use of information resources, determines directions for the development of information systems of various levels. The authors conducted a survey of heads and senior managers of large enterprises (Samara oblast, Russia) producing industrial equipment in order to identify the existing problems in the sphere of marketing information support.
