摘要：
A total of 324 healthcare workers were screened for MRSA, and 11 (3.4%) proved to be permanent carriers. A defined eradication programme was carried out in these staff members. Decolonisation was possible in all carriers. Screening and eradication can be complicated and costly, and for affected employees the occupational consequences can be far-reaching as they have no adequate statutory legal protection.
