FURTHER-STUDIES IN CHROMOSOME-NUMBERS OF POLISH ANGIOSPERMS .24.

This report presents chromosome numbers for thirty species of the Polish Angiosperms. For twenty one, known previously to be karyologically uniform, only one chromosome number has been found in accordance with the results of the former karyological studies carried out on plants from other geographic regions. For eight species, which according to the earlier studies show karyological differentiation only one chromosome number from those reported by previous authors has been found in Polish representatives of the respective taxa. Karyological differentiation has been detected in stellaria graminea L.; in addition to the diploid number 2n = 26 the tetraploid cytotype 2n = 52 bas been identified in the present study.
