APPLICATION OF THE METHOD OF MOMENTS TO ACOUSTIC SCATTERING FROM MULTIPLE INFINITELY LONG FLUID FILLED CYLINDERS

摘要
A method is proposed which provides a computational technique for solving acoustic scattering problems associated with arbitrary shaped multiple two-dimensional fluid filled bodies. Using a free space Green function along with the associated boundary conditions on the surface of each body, a pair of coupled integral equations are derived. The equations are then solved by approximating the scatterer cross section by linear segments and employing the method of moments. The method presented is simple, efficient and applicable to truly arbitrary contours. Numerical results are presented for certain canonical shapes and compared with other available data.
