The vibrational spectra of the layered compounds KSb(PO4)(2) and CsM(PO4)(2) (M=Sb, Ta, Nb). Normal coordinate analysis of KSb(PO4)(2)

摘要
Infrared and Raman spectra on powder samples of KSb(PO4)(2), CsSb(PO4)(2), CsTa(PO4)(2) and CsNb(PO4)(2) and polarized Raman spectra on a single crystal of KSb(PO4)(2) were recorded. A normal coordinate analysis using a generalized force field was performed for KSb(PO4)(2). The whole results allowed an assignment of the observed frequencies. It was possible to characterize the P-O, Sb-O and M-O bonds (M = alkaline cation) in layered phosphatoantimonates. The strength of the Sb-O, Ta-O and Nb-O bonds is compared.
