COMPUTATION OF TRANSIENTS BY PARALLEL-PROCESSING

Transients axe computed on a MIMD parallel processor system. Several communicating processes are generated by splitting the lines of a network. The implementation on a real multiple processor system is described. Problems are elaborated and one possible solution is suggested. Specific examples are discussed achieved on a network of 8 transputers. The relation between the structure of a network and its potential speedup with this method is commented.
