摘要
Electroreduction of Mo(VI)[(NH4)(6) Mo7O24-4H(2)O] has been studied at various concentrations in the range 0.3-7mM in H2SO4 on glassy carbon electrode by cyclic voltammetric technique. This work arose mainly because no such investigation is available on solid electrodes. Mo (VI) shows multiple reduction peaks during cathodic sweep and the number of anodic peaks depends on the termination potential at which sweep is reversed. A comparison with Hg electrode indicates that the subsequent reduction of Mo (V) to Mo (III) is totally absent on glassy carbon electrode.
