The Environmental Chemicals Data and Information Network (ECDIN) is a databank developed and maintained by the Commission of the European Communities. ECDIN started in 1973 and was included in the CEC Environmental Research Programme. The scope of the project was initially to study the data content and software needs for a European Databank on Environmental Chemicals.
