BIOETHICS AS A SUPPORT TO THE RIGHT TO REGULATE BIOTECHNOLOGY

The interweaving of law and bioethics is intrinsic to nature, since just as the contribution of law is fundamental for bioethics, the contributions of bioethical analysis must be considered extremely useful for public law in shedding light on problems caused by biotechnology. This is so because both disciplines have a common goal: the respect and promotion of recognized human rights. Bioethics provides tools for taking decisions affecting values where the process of preparing and analyzing the guidelines that should govern actions involving man's technical intervention in his own life and the environment he lives in is of particular importance. These guidelines will later be elevated to the status of legal regulations.
