SHARING OF WATER-RESOURCES AND RESIDENTIAL WATER DEMAND

Sharing water resources is an issue that cannot be evaded today. We propose a very simple framework to such a problem. Identification of demand functions for different uses play a central role. Starting with residential water demand, and using data for the departement de la Gironde, we build an aggregated demand function taking into account local components. This investigation is just starting. but the first results shed light on the demand shifters and raise some methodological problems regarding aggregation.
