The dialogue between theology and the natural sciences

The relationship between religion and science, and more specifically, among Christian theology and the sciences of nature, has had historically different positions, from an open conflict to separation, fusion and dialogue. A dialogue between these two areas is proposed that is based on a model of respect to cultural diversity: valorization of diversity, openness to complementarity, respectful conversation, without arrogance and without expecting an area to be ancillary to the other. The more important point is that dialogue be oriented to promote society good. The objective should not be just the defense of science for science shake nor religion for religion's shake, but the promotion of the welfare of society from a point of view that sees as disastrous any of these two situations: a science that rejects religion or a religion that rejects science.
