Security and the economic crisis. Some reflections

This paper analizes the eventual limits between the current economic crisis, with the impending specter of an economic recession, and the strong, widespread sense of insecurity which seems to bring together citizens of many countries of the world. This paper discusses several international studies which have studied the main sources of "happiness" both real and preceived (income, work, family life, relations with one's own community, health, etc.) seeking to understand the structural and contingent causes of social insecurity. The author expresses his firm conviction that a clear sign of recovery is necessary. In order to have this come about, it is necessary to encourage relationships which increase social capital, such as hope and the active participation in voluntary organizations, with similar backgrounds.
