摘要
There are six Afro communities located on the central Venezuelan coastline which originated at the beginning of the 16th Century while the area was used exclusively for chocolate production. The area is known today as the Parish of Caruao which is populated by descendents of the slaves used to cultivate the area developed by the Spanish "owners". Anthropological research discloses that there is a so called memory lapse in regard to the history of the slaves. Presented here is a newly formed version of history based on oral conversation with aged inhabitants of the area.
