Preventive Diplomacy in the ASEAN Regional Forum: application and the Japanese diplomacy

Diplomatic tools for dispute resolution are widely applied both within the European international organizations and within the Asian. Preventive diplomacy as the main diplomatic tool is being applied in the framework of the ASEAN Regional Forum. Within 15 years the ARF member countries achieved significant results on the development of preventive diplomacy elements as well as in taking real diplomatic steps. The article will consider the main stages of the specification and the use of preventive diplomacy in the ARF, as well as the position of the major regional powers.
