BRAZILIAN SIGN LANGUAGE - LIBRAS IN TEACHER EDUCATION: WHAT DO THE SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION?

摘要
This text has an emphasis on a study of bibliographical search that combines partial results from two studies master's in progress. The focus of investigations are guided in understanding the work of Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) in Basic Education and the inclusion as a required course in teacher education courses in the undergraduate. The objective is present results of the study of bibliographical survey that shows how the teaching has been developed for people with hearing loss/deafness in basic education and higher education through the use of LIBRAS, as well as understands what they say about the production specific legislation to guarantee the rights of these people in the educational setting. The research was conducted from the production of the Annual Meetings of the National Association Graduate Studies an Research in Education - ANPED and Bank of Theses and Dissertations from CAPES, from year 2005. The first analysis indicate to the lack of preparation of teacher with regard to education for people with hearing loss/deafness, on the grounds do not have yet adequate training for the pedagogical work that effectively meets the public, and in many cases do not inform know and do not make use of LIBRAS. Such notes directly influence teaching practice. From this perspective, we believe that challenge is to think in the implementation of the degree law 5.626/2005 for the degree courses better prepare prospective teachers, to enabled a better quality for all students.
