摘要
The relation between the dissipation of acoustic field energy and the energy necessary for the appearance of hydrogen peroxide in water irradiated by sound is considered. The authors' own measurements of sonolysis in a pre-cavitational regime are described and the analysis of data of other research under conditions of cavitation is given. All data constitute a uniform sequence of energy values proportional to the square of the sound frequency. Losses for mechanochemical transformations turn out to be comparable to the values of acoustic losses. Mechanochemical transformations in water during sound propagation are essential in the mechanism of sound attenuation.
