摘要：
The paper offers an overview of the study of the body starting from semiotics and its perspectives, ranging from philosophical reflections to the theoretical and methodological analysis models and their application. The paper also establishes the scope and limitations to the study of the body offered by different schools of semiotics over the course of recent decades, in order to define the rise of a "semiotics of the body" within the general and specific semiotics.
