摘要：
On the basis of the results on domain shape optimization for elliptic systems developed in Ref. 1, the problem of the optimal shape of a hydrofoil, moving slowly in a viscous incompressible fluid, is formulated and studied. The optimization problem consists in finding the shape of the hydrofoil having minimal drag, while satisfying certain constraints on the volume and hydrodynamic lift.
