A study of the structure of flash-evaporated Fe-rich thin films of Fe(1-x)Ti(x) (x = 0.10, 0.15, 0.20) alloys deposited onto cooled substrates and its variations on heating are undertaken. Measurements of the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity and electron microscopic observations are performed. The Q(T) curves and the values of Q300 and the temperature coefficient of resistivity (TCR) before and after heating suggest that mixed crystalline b.c.c. alpha-Fe and amorphous Fe-Ti phases coexist within as-deposited films in the composition range (0.08 less-than-or-equal-to x less-than-or-equal-to 0.2).
