SOURCES OF CITY RANKINGS

The authors begin with a brief bibliographic survey of the current literature on city and regional rankings, focusing primarily on residential and commercial materials. The works discussed in the survey are also subsequently listed separately. A second section presents an annotated bibliography of other significant sources. The two lists provide a compact overview of current sources that should be useful to selectors, reference librarians, and librarians presenting instructional material to a diverse group of users.
