摘要
The performance of a horizontal-axis wind turbine (HAWT) subjected to non-uniform flow with swirl was investigated theoretically. The incident flow considered was axi-symmetric with axial and tangential velocity components. Performance results were compared with those in uniform flow. Forces along the blade span were found to have maximum values at the 0.8R station. It was also found that axial interference factors were higher, and tangential interference factors were lower, than their counterparts in uniform flow. The total power generated was substantially reduced.
