Presenting grammar problems to students of Philology

The article presents the results of a research that aims to examine the metalinguistic activity of students in the 2nd year of Philology, the notions of syntax that students possess after years of definitions, analysis and exercises and the difficulties that found to perform metalinguistic task posed. To this end, it has been proposed to the students a number of grammatical problems requiring metalinguistic reflection to be solved. As the object of observation and analysis are taken written tests, quizzes, and oral interviews.
