摘要
Establishing the proper air gap in a ferromagnetically cored coil can be a tedious trial-and-error process. But with a C. R. Hanna curve for the core material, the correct gap can be determined in only one or two tries. A procedure is outlined for selecting a core type, size and air gap for a given inductance and dc bias current.
