摘要
The aim of the present study is to investigate the entropy generation effects in Cu-water based nano fluid flow over a surface stretching in radial direction. The partial differential equations that govern the flow and heat transfer phenomenon are transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations by using suitable similarity transformations. The shooting technique with fourth-fifth-Runge Kutta method is employed to solve the converted equations numerically and the influence of various physical parameters on velocity, temperature, skin friction and Nusselt number are presented through graphs. Furthermore, the effects of these parameters on the generation of entropy are also discussed briefly. It is observed that increase in volume fraction of Cu nano particles results in more entropy production within the boundary layer region.
