摘要
This work was conducted to study the irrigation water quality of the distributed wells in Upper Diyalah River Basin region/Iraq, bounded by Lat. 34 degrees 00' - 35 degrees 00' and Long. 44 degrees 00' - 45 degrees 00', it comprises of about 6600 km(2). The given analyzed water was classified according to (Ayer's and Westcot(9), considering the recommendation suggested by American National Committee for technical consultation 1968, depending on several parameters as electrical conductivity, toxic ions, degree of reaction, etc...into three groups, usable water with out restrictions suitable to irrigate all plants and covering an area of 69.1%, restricted usable water range from light to mild covering an area of 19.9% whereas the third one involving tight restriction as irrigated usable water which covered an area of 11.0%. Having the above results, a suitable agriculture plane should be considered for each area under study, according to water quality, to maintain soil productivity, quality and quantity of the product yield as well.
