Political economy, production and knowledge management. The case of the Universities in Chile

The intention of the present work is to approach from the general perspective of the political economy the different logics and dynamics that are generated to the interior of the University in Chile during the process of production of knowledge. First it is considered to be the tensions between field to discipline and professional occupation, presents in the production of knowledge as practices of epistemology or cognitive while social practices (Olive, 2009) and shaping an ecology of saberes (De Sousa, 2009), that are own of the University in his producer's function of sense that orientates the academic and professional development. Secondly, how the set of activities that meet in the production of knowledge are articulated, at the same time, by the economic and political conditions of the own University
