Sustainability is a topic that has excelled on the world stage since the mid-70s, due to the discovery of substances harmful to human health and some ecosystems. Thus the debate on sustainability It capilarizou between the various branches of science, having been the subject of debate in the applied social sciences, where the field of management concept is in development, there is no single definition. The Economy of Communion (EoC), in turn, has characteristics that aim to 'humanise' the economy and take care in the treatment with nature, thus constituting a model that can work with the discussion of sustainability. In this sense, the objective of this study was to find out: what are the sustainable practices of the EoC companies. For achieving this goal we created a presentation of the concepts of sustainability, EOC, market practices and sustainable practices in order to define and clarify their meanings. Then it was demonstrated the methodology used to analyze the data and, ultimately, the final considerations. In relation to sustainable practices could be identified: an honest and fraternal relationships with customers, recycling of recoverable waste and donation of waste not usable to other actors, and the use of recycled raw material in the production and exchange of practices; the development of programs related to worker health and safety, conducting training courses or training to employees, and the use of standards to reduce waste and pollution as normative practices; and the development of social responsibility policies as representative practices. As a suggestion for future tests, the application of research is recommended in a larger quantity of the EoC companies, considering that the research limitation in only two companies does not allow the support of the concept inferred in a larger universe. It is also suggested a satisfaction survey with stakeholders of these companies, expanding the objects actors research. Finally, an analysis of impacts and future projections with the definition of sustainability indicators, targeting the sustainable practices of EoC companies, and with the help of statistical studies for example, can collaborate in exploration to meet future claims..
