QUASI PHASE-ONLY FILTERS AS AN INVERSE MATCHED SPATIAL FILTER

Quasi phase-only filters (QPOFs) are able to give similar results as classical matched filters (CMFs) of phase-only filters (POFs) due to their various exposure (tau) values. In this paper, the feasibility of QPOFs is emulate the response of inverse matched filters (IMFs) is investigated. The results of the computer simulation experiments are compared and discussed in terms of signal to noise ratio, peak to sidelobe ratio, and discriminability.
