摘要：
The usefulness of ultrasound examination of the urinary tract in dogs and cats is demonstrated by the ultrasonographic findings in various diseases. Sonographic images of the normal kidney and urinary bladder are compared with those of different kidney disorders (neoplasm, cystic disease, chronic nephritis, congenital "horseshoe" kidney, hydronephrosis with pyelonephritis) and bladder diseases (cystitis, urolithiasis, neoplasm). This study shows how the information gained by ultrasonography can help with the diagnostic accuracy of urinary disorders. Quantitative ultrasonography and ultrasound-guided biopsy can further improve the diagnostic capability of this technique as stated in other references.
