摘要
Limited scope representation, or unbundling, is an innovative model for delivering legal help to moderate- income individuals as discrete tasks and in a manner the client can afford. For those family law practitioners willing to meet the needs of a broader range of clients, this book is an excellent place to begin. Limited scope legal services are not for every client, nor is the practice a good fit for every lawyer, but it is one scenario for lawyers responding to the changing demands of the field. In a time when technology and market demands are pressuring law firms to rethink what it means to practice law, Mosten and Scully's book offers a glimpse of the future and practical guidance for how to get there. Key Points for the Family Court Community: _ The book is a practical compendium for an attorney who wants to establish and manage a limited scope practice. _ The book offers a host of templates, scripts, and sample correspondence to help lawyers providing limited scope representation to engage in effective and ethical client communications. _ One valuable aspect of the book is the clarity with which the authors break down the practice of law into separable, discrete functions. _ Lawyers have an obligation to keep current with the changing norms of legal practice. This volume offers one glimpse of the future and practical guidance on how to get there.
