A theoretical assessment of the relationship between public diplomacy and public relations

The idea of having theoretical and practical similarities between public diplomacy and public relations has been studied and evaluated by many academicians and researchers. Public relations is defined as the communication management of organizations by their target public. Similarly, public diplomacy is defined as international communication of governments with foreign countries and their publics. 'I he similarities between both disciplines could be seen in theoretical assessments. Both disciplines have similarities in terms of their origins, aims, tools, activities and international conditions which they grow in. This study aims to evaluate connections between public diplomacy and public relations which increase communication and relationship opportunities for the countries in terms of theoretical approaches.
