Perspectivism in Adlerian Psychology

A new art form involving an entirely new way of visualizing objects developed during the Renaissance. By what we now refer to as perspectivism, each artist began to access objects through his own perspective. This new development stimulated, in turn, philosophical thought throughout the following centuries. In psychology, the psychological aspects of perception have certainly been studied extensively, but the role of philosophical perspectivism has not really received much attention. Although Alfred Adler appears to be no exception to this, studying his work today from the viewpoint of philosophical perspectivism certainly leads to the discovery of new forms of perspectivist thinking.
