摘要：
This paper examines the determination of the threshold characteristics of a photographic material by means of a combination of an absolute-contrast target and auxiliary uniform illumination. It is established that only the simultaneous exposure of the target and illumination leads to results that are identical to the results of the exposure of targets of different contrast.
