THERMAL-ANALYSIS OF ETHYLENE-PROPYLENE RUBBER CHLOROSULFONATED POLYETHYLENE RUBBER BLENDS

摘要：
The miscibility of the blend system consisting of ethylene-propylene rubber and chlorosulphonated polyethylene rubber has been investigated using three well-established thermal analysis methods. Differential scanning calorimetric study has revealed that the system is immiscible as the two rubbers maintain their separate entities in all the blends. Similar results have been obtained from dynamic mechanical thermal analysis. Dielectric thermal analysis, however, appears not to be an appropriate method for the present system due to the non-polar nature of the ethylene-propylene rubber component.
