摘要：
The paper presents an analysis of India's emerging research during 1999-2008 on several parameters like research output, growth, rank and global publication share, citation impact, share of international collaborative papers, major collaborative countries and pattern of research communication in most productive journals. It also analyses the characteristics of most productive institutions, authors and highly-cited papers. The publications output of India is also compared with China and South Korea.
