AN ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLLER WITH DATA-ACQUISITION SYSTEM

To evaluate the behaviour of gas sensors under varying climatic conditions, a laboratory controller to set the desired humidity and temperature is fabricated. With this Windows(TM) based IBM PC controller, the temperature and humidity within the test chamber can be controlled either manually or automatically. The data over time can be visualized as a graph in one window and as the digital data in another window. It could be stored, plotted and later retrieved for future analysis, and it is multitasking for GPIB instrument interfacing. Under the programmable mode, cyclic testing could be done for the programmed time. With the modern communication facility, a pager can be activated for a desired set of conditions.
