摘要
R. Rorty's philosophy is considered in relation to the existentialist philosophy of J.-P. Sartre. As a basis of comparison the anti-essentialist nature of the works of both authors is suggested. The main thesis of Rorty - irreducibility of being-for-itself (pour-soi) to being-in-itself (en-soi) - is analyzed in this regard. Adoption by Rorty the linguistic turn in philosophy leads him to some form of linguistic existentialism, which is consistent with the statement of the absence transcendental ego in Sartre's philosophy.
