摘要：
The lower Pliocene site of Langebaanweg (South Africa, Cape Province) has yielded Mystromys cf. hausleitneri and M. pocockei sp. nov. The latter species is different from other representatives of the genus by a set of suspected primitive characteristics like its smaller size, the less rectilinear longitudinal crest, the less alternated cusps, the undivided prelobe of the M1/1.
