摘要：

The suitability of the Standard Data Access Interface (SDAI) as a basis for a collaborative modelling environment is evaluated through the development of a prototype implementation. Problems are reported and possible solutions suggested. A conclusion is formulated about the SDAI and recommendations concerning its future use are given.
