摘要
We describe the operation and characteristics of two-dimensional planar delay line image readout schemes for microchannel plates. Measurements using a 95 x 63 mm delay line show that resolution of < 35-mu-m FWHM in X and almost-equal-to 250-mu-m in Y can be achieved. It is shown that image stability can be of the order of a few mu-m, and the flat field response is stable and determined by detection efficiency of the microchannel plates.
