摘要：
Occupational medicine is offering essential contributions to environmental medicine. Methodic aspects are discussed and extensive literature references are cited. Examples from the current environmental discussion show the wide spectrum of relevant problems. Data collection and interpretation of data have to be considered separately, the latter being the classical task of medicine.
