This paper focuses on the presence and rewrites of the Ovidian myth of Daphne (Met. I 452.567) in contemporary Spanish poetry. Specifically, Federico Garcia Lorca, Jorge Guillen, Pedro Salinas, Elena Martin Vivaldi, Francisco Brines, Carlos Clementson, Victor Botas, Juana Castro, Ana Rossetti, Abelardo Linares, Carmelo Guillen, Vicente Cristobal, Ramon Bascunana and Noelia Illan Conesa's poems will be studied.
