摘要
Possible ways of eliminating sulphur and nitrogen oxides from sugar factory boiler flue gas are discussed with special reference to the operating conditions in the sugar industry. The reduction of nitrogen oxide amissions to the level recommended by the conference of environment ministers in 1984 can in most cases be achieved by appropriate methods of boiler management. If necessary, the basic steps for dealing with the problem are supplemented by a low-priced secondary process, preferably a selective noncatalytic reduction process (SNCR). The elimination of sulphur oxides is restricted to processes which do not generate waste water. Because of the unfavourable user structure in the sugar factory, the possibility of switching to fuels producing less emissions should always be kept in mind.
