REFLECTIONS ON SOCIAL-WORK FROM CUERNAVACA, MEXICO

A view of Diego Rivera's mural, Battle of the Aztecs and Spaniards, serves as a starting point for reflections on social work. The author's class of students from the United States met with Mexican practitioners who shared models for integrating direct service with social change efforts. Their teaching is offered as a brief example of benefits to be gained for US social workers from an exchange with Mexican colleagues.
