Numerical simulation of heat transfer during boiling on a surface with porous coating

Based on the available results of theoretical studies, we made an attempt at developing a technique for numerical calculation of the heat transfer coefficient. Satisfactory agreement was obtained between the calculated and experimental values. Theoretical investigations enabled us to ''look inside'' the porous structure and follow the variation of the main characteristics of vaporization process over the porous layer thickness for different thermal fluxes.
