摘要：

Health and genetic data have an undeniable impact on the core of personality. Its necessary protection finds in the Biomedical Research act one of its references. The adoption of the European General Data Protection Regulation is an impetus for achieving a homogeneous, stable and adapted European framework for the challenges of the 21st century. This paper analyses the consequences that the promulgation of this standard may have on biomedical research.
