THE ANALYSIS OF THE EQUALITY PLANS IN THE HEALTH SECTOR OF THE REGION OF MURCIA

It is applauded, the performance of the Spanish legislator, for the implementation ten years ago, of a law of equality between women and men. Similarly, Autonomous Communities such as the Region of Murcia, have from that same decade, standards in this regard. We carry out in this work an analysis of the equality plans, implemented in the Murcian Health Service since 1993, date of approval of the first plan, until today. A public health institution, that brings together more than 20.000 workers. It is contracted if objectives were achieved, such as, on the one hand, guaranteeing real and effective equality in public employment and working conditions. On the other hand, achieve a balanced representation and improve the access of women to positions of responsibility, in order to reduce inequalities and imbalances.
